PROJECTS

The past few weeks I have been trying to get some "projects" done and have actually finished most. Since the kids (Justin and baby) will be sharing a room (as soon as I feel she won't wake him up at night) I thought I would try and coordinate their room a little with out making it too "baby" for Justin but still "baby" for baby...if that makes any sense.

Project #1 Dresser/Changing Table
So these are the colors...blue, pink and brown. Painting went good although I did find out that Chad is a much better painter then me... I guess it is in his genes:)

Project #2 Bedding
Basically quilt, bumper pad and bed skirt. I'll admit the bumper pad was a beast to sew...not sure I will do it again...at least not for another 3 years. Hopefully it will all come together better in the new house once I get the room painted and such.

Justins bedding was easy which is also Project #3 Sleeping in Big Boy Bed

Justin really likes sleeping in his Big Boy Bed. We just start the bed time routine a little earlier than normal and give him 2 chances to get out before we give the ultimatum of going back to the baby crib once for drink once for pee...which leads me to .....

Project #4 Potty Training
Surprisingly it is going pretty good. We still get a few accidents every once in a while...but I'm not frustrated yet which is a plus. So we will keep with it. He really likes to wear his undies once we can get them on.

We recently upped the (being honest) BRIBE from stickers to 2 skittles but I wanted to show his potty chart....notice how my little "Scussel" puts all the same cars together in groups:)

So this weeks Saturday Social question....Do You Exercise and Eat Healthy?

What a great question for me....Exercise....I normally take walks with Justin but not so many lately for the shear fact that I don't get very far and feel like I am about to pee my pants. I try to feed my family Healthy (not a lot of sugar, whole grain pastas, minimal food from a box) but my two goals after this baby are 1. less sweets for me and 2. STOP eating the extra food off Justins plate that he doesn't finish! These are new habits so as of now I blame them on being prego....I can do that right!?!?

Mini-Vacation

Since Chad has been gone so much the past couple of months and has only been home a day or two in between trips Justin and I followed him on this last one to Tucson for a little get-a-way time. Tucson is only about 4 hours from us and a lot warmer (low 80's). Chad had training during the day so Justin and I found fun things to do around town and then we were able to spend the evening together as a family.

We went to the Zoo...........

And the Children's Museum where anything and everything is hands on...........

Big fire truck with actual lights he could turn on

He loved that he was "allowed" to play on the computer and push all the buttons

We spent a lot of time at the train stationAt the grocery store he put ALL the veggies in his cart then rang them up...even put them away when he was done.

It was a nice few days away and GREAT to be able to spend time with Chad. Justin loved going swimming at night and sleeping in a "big boy" bed.

32 WEEKS (beginning of month #8)

This was a week ago so now I am actually 33 weeks

TIME FOR A LITTLE CHANGE

BEFORE...
AFTER...
THANKS KATHI...YOU DID A GREAT JOB...I LOVE IT!

LOVING 2 1/2

Up to this point I would have to say that this is my favorite stage with Justin. Putting aside the stubbornness, tantrums, and making him stay in time-out I love watching the things that he comes up with and especially all the things he is starting to say. I was taking a bath with him the other night and he holds his squirt toy right up to his face, hunches over (you really would have to see it like he was being sneaky), and says "I'm gonna squirt the baby" as he squirts my tummy with water...oh so cute...If its possible I really probably do kiss him too many times in one day just because of all the dang cute things he does.

Anyway I was getting ready in the bathroom the other day and he was playing in the cupboard, all of a sudden he grabs his big dump truck and runs out. I thought it was odd but maybe he was just done playing so I finished getting ready. A couple minutes later I walk into the living room (while on the phone) to find this.......

Even better...or more amazing....is that he picked them ALL up and put them back into the box with out even being asked!!!

HAPPY EASTER!

Today Justin and I went to our towns Easter egg hunt. It is so nice today that if Justin didn't need to come in and take a nap we would probably play outside all afternoon.

I told him to take a picture for Daddy (he is in Georgia) and this is what I got....tongue sticking out....sorry Chad.

He's no dummy. He wanted to see what was inside. Good thing the limit was 10 eggs. He had all that candy eat'n in no time.

Easter Bunny break-through. He actually went up by himself and stood there for a picture without freaking out. Did I mention the basket of chocolate eggs the bunny was holding? I'm sure that had nothing to do with it :)

31 weeks prego packing around a 26 lb toddler....soo fun! Good thing he would rather walk most the time.
