Outdoor Boy

Chad woke up Saturday and decided to take the day off. It was well deserved in that he hadn't had a day off in almost 2 weeks and I was super excited to have him home. The night before we got about 3 inches of snow but of course Saturday was sunny and fairly warm so we went out to play. We tried to push Justin on his bike through the un-plowed road (ya, I know...sleds work better but good luck finding one here) and pretty much got stuck so we stopped to build a snow man. Our first...and probably last...of the year. Justin had fun rolling the big balls and then trying to lift them. When we got back he thought it was even more fun to stand under the eves with all the melting snow "rain" onto him. Good thing he had his snow boots on:) Boys! Boys! Boys! Although I won't be surprised if our little girl joins him in all the fun.

and Sick Days

Justin hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days and today all he wanted to do was lay on the couch or have me hold him. And so that is what we did all day. I got to hold my not so baby boy all day...and loved it... although I do want him to get better fast so we can go out and play in the sunshine! Anyway, he fell asleep on the couch for a little nap. I had to take a picture because he has never been one to just fall asleep like that. And to prove it here is the picture of the last time he just randomly fell asleep on the floor. He was 5 months old :)

Snow Days

Justin loves going out and playing in the snow (when there is enough to play in). He likes to take his little shovel and pile the snow into the back of his truck. This really has been a mild winter compared to what we are used to. Last week we got 2 feet with in a couple days. Then it was blue sky and sunny the rest of the week. So there is practically no snow on the ground by the time our next little snow storm comes through ( I think we got about 3-4 inches last night). Everyone says that this is the most snow they have gotten in a long time. Most people are ready for winter to be over and I have actually kindof enjoyed it. A winter from December to Febuary beats Montanas October to April anyday. Not to say that we don't miss home!

I know that I havn't made any effort to update the blog in a while...the reason...this book! I breifly heard about it from a friend and didn't think much of it. Then just a few days later I was down in Phoenix and Tanya gave it to me to read. She said it was good but didn't say how good. I got home on Tuesday and started reading that night and was done by Friday night (thank goodness Chad was gone). It was so good that it was hard for me to decide what to do 1) study for my Biology test that was friday or 2) just read a few more chapters. I was able to get both in and still pass my test...whew....not much else got done around the house though. Anyway I am now 1/2 way through #2 and hope to get #3 done soon so I can get back to the important things...like my family:)
