FEED ME!

Jessica is now eating baby food and loving it. I can hardly get her to nurse during the day. And it is so sad but cute to watch her when we are eating because she wants our food so bad. Then only thing she had made a "what the heck is this face at" is bananas. Other than that she like it all: rice cereal, sweet potatoes, pears, apple sauce and squash (that I pureed myself) Yummy Yummy!

Picking the Perfect Pumpkin

The pumpkin patch was nice this year...not so dang windy. Justin looked and looked until he found his perfect pumpkin (just a little one).

Our family night of carving the pumpkins pretty much ended up just being Chad. He did a good job though. Justin wanted nothing to do with it. I believe his words were something like "No! it's stinky, I don't like that, I just like food."

(He pretends to sleep in most all pics now)

This morning I had a few little Halloween things set out on the table for him. He ask who got me these and although he isn't a real character the first thing I thought of was the 'Halloween Pumpkin man' (dumb, I know). So then I was putting Jess down for a nap and I hear him say
"Halloween pumpkin patch man, Where are you, I need to give you a kiss" :)
p.s. Yes, it is the end of October and we are still wearing short sleeves (mid 70's) I think I even had to turn the AC on in my car today.

OH THE PLACES WE GO

Since living down here in Arizona we always have a dilemma when it comes to traveling. We seem close enough to drive but far enough away to fly...we ALWAYS choose to drive. This trip was to California for my sister Ryanne's wedding. Although we fit in the VW Jetta it is a little snug so we decided to get a rental for the trip.

The Rental: a very nice 2009 Dodge Journey. It had plenty of room and storage

The Problem: Yes, that is right ANTS, in our rental rig, and a lot of them. Who knows where them came from but the were coming out of window seals, vents, etc. Little tiny ones small enough to squish with one finger but very annoying!

The Trip:

Destination - California

Miles - 1306
Hours in Car - 23 (including stops. 1 in undies 1 nursing. So Fun!)

Total Days - 4

Even with all of that we had a good time. My sister was beautiful (*note to self* take picture at next sisters wedding) We definitely want to go back before we leave AZ for a family vacation. There is a lot to do even if my husband doesn't like CA.

Pictures:

Jessica at her first Zoo.
Justin and Daddy eating a balboa bar.
Uncle Josh and Jess (it had been almost a year since I had seen my bro)

The kids would completely crash every night...I did not complain.

READING STORIES

Just so cute I had to post. The other night Justin was reading books to Jessica. Too bad she was asleep.

SNAP SHOTS

THE "OFFSPRING"

One of my friends made the comment that it is a good thing Justin makes just as cute of a girl as he does a boy. I can't believe how much they look alike.

Chad has been hard at work trying to get our sprinkler system in. He is learning a lot and doing a great job.
Justin
Loves to ride his bike
We somehow went through a whole new bottle of soap in 3 baths time.
My Justin sure is something else. He will be 3 next month. He is such a big help. Here are some things that he likes to do to help mommy:
-puts his own clothes away (in there right drawers)
-unload the dishwasher
-picks out socks/pants/undies everyday and puts them on himself
-Goes through 3 pair of the above everyday but puts them in the laundry room when he has decided he was done wearing them.
-tries to feed sissy stuff like chocolate chip cookies

P.S.

My VERY talented sister hand painted these little sayings on the walls in the kids room. I LOVE them. (sorry to all the nurses at St. Johns hospital that I didn't have these posted earlier:)!!)

Jessica asleep in our closet...see its not as bad as it sounds. see previous post

And finally, Chads "work closet" I never even try to touch anything in there....I just shut the door. again see previous post

My Good Excuse

So I know that I have been a bit of a blogger slacker...but, I have a really good excuse. We have a 4th room off of our bedroom and it is the computer/scrapbooking/sewing/Chad get ready for work room (Yes, he does need his own closet for work crap...sorry...stuff. I'll blog that another day) But that room is also where I have Jessica sleeping right now. So all the good times for me to blog like nap and bedtime she is already in there asleep. So unless I remember to have her sleep in our closet (yes, I said closet) then I can't come in and get stuff done. Good Enough Excuse?
