FIRST TRIP TO THE DENTIST

When I assisted I would think all the time...I can't believe that people just don't come in for their check-ups...I know they have insurance...if they would just come in every 6 mo. like they are suppose to we could catch the problem when it was small....blah blah blah. Here I am almost 4 years later and I haven't seen the dentist. I kept blaming it on moving and that I wanted a good dentist because I know what good work looks like.....but NO MORE EXCUSES!
This was Justins first time and knowing him and his personality I totally prepped him for it. We check out kids books from the library and I told him everything to expect...squirty water, mouth vacuum, gloves, masks, spinning toothbrush ect. (just for extra measure we bribed him with ice cream on the way there)
I WAS SO PROUD OF HIM!!! A little shaky at first but he did GREAT! He even let them take x-rays. Far from what I had pictured (Justins not much for people he doesn't know... well, sometimes not even much for people he does know.. but he has definitely gotten better).

And Yes! I am that type of Mom...you know...the one who takes her camera to the dentist!
And Yes, I realized how much I missed what I use to do. Especially when I found myself walking real slow by the other rooms to see what they were doing, wanting to go through the drawers, and wishing I could clean Justins teeth my self. But I refrained from being the I-use-to-do-this-know-it-all type. Although I did peek at our X-rays when no one was in the room.

THE PROBLEM WITH HAVING A GIRL...

Every time I put her in a dress (mostly just Sundays) she is so stinking cute that I can't help but to take pictures of her...

Just noticed that the tights don't fit her well and make her legs look funny

Her Daddy was pretty handsome this day too so I had him pose with her.

ROCK ON!

We have been going out and getting river rock for part of our landscaping in our front yard. We got the permit December 1st and had 3 months before it expired. Here is some pics when we enlisted the help of our neighbor boy(and Justin's best buddy) back in December ...........

We weren't able to go in January due to snow and such but went out again this past Tues . Knowing that it was our last run before our permit was up, we planned on making 2 trips. We loaded the biggest heaviest load yet...................and look where that got us..........

COMPLETELY STUCK!!!!

Luckily for us Chad has a buddy who just lives up the road from the wash. He was gone but his wife came to try and help....no luck! So we waited for her 16 year old son to get home from school and bring their tractor down. In the mean time Chad unloaded half the rocks. The tractor got us out in 2 tries (should have left all the rock).

Luckily for us (#2) they are care taking a house where the wash runs right through their property and told us we could come get it anytime....So tomorrow it is!

And Luckily for us (#3) it was a beautiful day....T-shirt weather(Just thought I would throw that in for my MT family!)

This actually has been a great family activity and outing.....Here are my kids waiting for Daddy to get back with help...........

Other Pics

Chads way of keeping her entertained while HE fixed dinner. I kind of thought choking hazard..But she obviously loved it.

So funny.... I had to share. I am trying to get his dance moves on video but so far no luck.

My kids have been sick this week and I have been hoping that 1. Chad or I don't get it and 2. that it passes quickly w/o turning into anything worse. My sister sent Jess this adorable little pink and white swimming suite and I couldn't help but put her in it snot nose and all. Her little face is so sad but look at that cute suite...

Can't wait to get home to Montana this summer and go swimming in all the lakes....and I will try to go to all my fav. ones...never thought I would miss water so much. Better watch out for this beach babe (Jessica that is)

HE DOES HAVE A SWEET SIDE

"Mom, is my sissy a princess?"
Justin asked me this as I was putting Jessica in a pretty little dress for church (once again so grateful for all the great hand-me-downs). I thought he looked pretty handsome too....

CARHARTT CUTIES (for "uncle" Levi)

I was going through the kids clothes today...moving out old (don't fits)...bringing in new (loved hand-me-downs)...and realized that they both had a pair of Carhartt overalls that fit them...couldn't help but take a few pics.
p.s. Chad just wanted to let his sisters know that they missed out on how cute their little girls could be in a pair....because he knows he bought each of you one for your first kid;)

***Note: Pictures do not always depict what really happen. Justin let go of Jess like 3 times, one of those times she fell and hit her head on my knee and Justin was bribed to smile. At some point during the 2 mins that all I wanted to do was get 1 good picture...both kids were crying. Sometimes I hope that in my old age my memory will be like these pictures...only remember how good and cute my kids were.
