JESSICA
Scowling just like Daddy

I was folding (a ton of) laundry and Justin is always such a big helper. Jessica was sleeping...like all sweet newborns do...and anything that was hers Justin just kept piling on her. Like I said such a big helper...I love it! He even throws away her diapers with out me asking:)

Justin

At this point anything to keep entertained
Not wanting to get in the car.

And I have no idea...the creative mind of a 2 1/2 yr old!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Just wanted to shout HOORAY! and congratulate my sister Ryanne...SHE'S GETTING MARRIED! I wish that I lived closer so that I could give her a big hug and meet this Casey guy...guess I'll have to wait until October. Love You Ryanne!

HERE SHE IS!

BABY GIRL

Finally here are some pictures of our new baby girl, Jessica Marie. She was born on the 16th at 12:38 (making her and Justin exactly 2 1/2 yrs apart and shares a birthday with her cousin Adalea who turned 2). Chad keeps telling people that it was "too easy of a delivery"...give me a break...easy!...even if I only did have to push 1 time no labor/delivery is easy and it is not like I am planning on doing this all again anytime soon:)

She weighed 6lbs even and was 19 inches long.

And this is what "Big Brother" Justin has been up to.....

Kind of fun and very entertaining.......bath paints...and yes they do just wash right off

Eating strawberry shortcake....or just licking off all of the whipped cream

"BACK TO WORK"

Pretty much from April to October/November is a busy time for Chad at work. He puts in alot of hours and works late nights on the weekends. I have to give him credit though because he does the best he can to make it home for dinner on those nights he works late...hogs and jogs :) So Daddy is always going "back to work" and I finally realized just how much when Justin started playing it. He puts his sunglasses on and says "Justin going back to work" and then runs off pushing his dump truck around the house.

OK so this isn't a picture of him going back to work but I thought it was cute. Not only does he want his sunglasses on but makes sure that Chad has his on too. ***He fell asleep in the car on one of our drive to Snowflake***

UPDATE

Thought I would give a quick update on the 2 things we have being "built"

(not in any specific order!)

#1. THE HOUSE

We go up about once a week to see how it is coming along. It is neat to see it in all of its different stages and to see how much work can be done in 1 weeks time. We think this next week they should have the inside walls up and all sheet rocked...Then its our turn to paint! I really hope all the colors I picked out look OK because I'm not sure that Chad will be willing to do it all again. He was good about not making too many comments during the whole paint picking process :)

#2 THE BABY

I know...not a super great picture but I have been meaning to take one for a while so I remembered today when Chad was heading out the door for work and I had already changed out of my Sunday clothes to comfy ones. We are down to 2 weeks and as soon as I take my Biology final on Friday and pick up my mom and sis in Phoenix next Monday...I am so ready! I am pretty sure that it the reason we are pregnant for 9 months. You will take anything that comes after just to be done being prego!

BABY SHOWER

Some ladies from our ward (church) put on a baby shower for me earlier today. We had it outside at a gals house who is a event planner/caterer. She had it set up so nice with center pieces and all. She even made this cute 2-tiered cake with pink frosting covered in sugar crystals. I wish I would have taken my camera pretty fancy. Anyway, I (baby) got a bunch of cute outfits and a whole lot of diapers...THANKS!

They made a great brunch with a ton of food so by the time people left we had forgotten to cut into the cake. So Teressa just gave me the whole top layer (there is a point to all of this...I'm getting there). I get home (a little later than planned...Chad still has to go to work!), unload the car, and go back into the bedroom to visit with Chad while he is getting ready. Justin is in the kitchen yelling....Daddy! Chad! Chad! (that's what he calls him now) Come here! So Chad goes into the kitchen and Justin is holding up his fingers which have a little frosting on them (OK so we knew Justin was on the counter w/ the cake) I hear Chad say "you got frosting on your........Oh!" so I come out and this is what we found.............

2 1/2 year old + very cute baby cake =

We had a good laugh. Especially at his for stuck right in the center of it all. Honestly, we wouldn't have eaten that much cake anyway. (Kathi don't tell Teressa my kid destroyed her cake!)

I just wanted to show this cute gift my friend, Kathi, made. It is all diapers and all the flowers are little head bands. SO CUTE! THANKS!
