Remember that old song The foolish man built his house upon the sand. Well thats kind of what I feel like although ours is clay not sand. We started having problems about 6 months after moving in and it has only gone down hill from there. Basically (long story short) our house is on these helical piers and those piers were not dug all the way to the bed rock which means our house is not on anything solid. And when your house is not on anything solid thats a problem.
Here is a picture of our house lifted off of the garage floor. Yes you are seeing right! That wall is suppose to be on that floor and that space leads right to our crawl space under the house.
So right now I don't have a garage....
or a front porch (or a drive way)
See that metal container just passed our nice green grass. Well thats where ALL of our garage contents are including our 2 freezers and everything else I didn't realize how much I got in and out of. Right now we have 3 big holes in our garage and 2 on the side of the house...26 more to go. So the can access the piers and hopefully fingers crossed....fix the problem.
